Pioneer Educator Bray Dies in Carson at 66
John Edwards Bray longtime Nevada education leader died at his home in Carson on January 1 from heart trouble. A Cornell graduate, he taught in Virginia City and Winnemucca and led schools in Reno, Dayton, and Winnemucca before serving as State Superintendent of Public Instruction. He was 66 and survived by his widow and two daughters.
