At the last session of the Nevada Legislature the industrial insurance laws were amended allowing farmer employers to obtain industrial insurance like miners and mill workers. The rate is 1 percent for premium and 25 cents monthly per person for hospital and medical, totaling 1.25 dollars per hundred dollars of coverage. The Nevada Livestock Association plans a monthly journal for the livestock industry to aid stockgrowers statewide. The War Department will open retail stores for surplus household commodities on September 25 in depot centers and large cities.
