Eureka Mines Progress with Faults and High Grade Ore

Ore shipments resume as the Eureka shaft shipments head to Salt Lake by rail cars. Development on the Eureka Prince and Eureka King yields high grade ore with 70 percent silica and 15 percent iron. 49 tons sent to the smelter last week. Ruby Hill pumps effective, awaiting cars for steady pumping and ore shipments. Eureka Nevada and Purekaholly reports show drive progress and potential profitable ore in the upper workings.

Philip Martin to wed after two marriages and a third planned

Soupty Clerk R McCharles issued marriage license Thursday to Philip Martin of Ruby Hill and Christina Mobon of California. Martin, who served in the coast guard in New York during the war, plans a Reno ceremony soon. A laundry fire near Layelook caused partial loss insured, with a small dwelling adjoining also burned.

Palisade Excursion Brings Eureka Club Home Proud

Last Saturday a Palisade excursion train carried a jolly Eureka Base Ball Club crowd. They received a cordial welcome, enjoyed hotels and homes, and a lively Saturday evening dance. Sunday Pallade and Eureka played. Eureka won 12 to 1.

Eureka Palisade Teams Combine To Beat Elko

Eureka and Palisade clash with Elko at Rodeo Park as they select a calm from eighteen players to confront the undefeated Elko nine. Death of Mrs Vener in Diamond Valley

Mrs. Vener wife of John Vener died at her daughter Mrs. Sirl’s home in Diamond Valley from acute indigestion after eating currants and milk. She was visiting from Lovelock Nevada and passed Friday evening. burial was at Catholic cemetery after services at Hyjul’s undertaking with W R Reynolds officiating. She was Italian born, aged 68 years 7 months 19 days. Husband John Vener and daughter Mrs. Sirl the only close survivors known.
