New Draft Measure Affects 13 000 000 Men in U S

Washington August 5 Provost Marshal General Crowder urged immediate enactment of the administration manpower bill expanding draft ages to 18 to 45. He proposed September 5 as national registration day for about 18 million men and weekly registration for those turning 21 to meet September quotas. The bill would require nearly all males 18 to 45 to register unless exempted.

Foch’s Marne Counter Offensive Marks Turning Point
