Unsatisfactory Mail Service Reports New Palisade Eureka Schedule
A new Palisade to Eureka mail schedule reduces delivery time, moving mail from Palisade on Monday Wednesday and Friday at 7:07 am to Eureka by 4 pm, with Eureka mail returning to Palisade on Tuesday Thursday and Saturday by 4 pm. The change ends a prior six and a half hour average delivery time and keeps a night layover at Mineral Hill. Postmaster Bray says the department was notified of dissatisfaction and advocates a 14 to 15 hour route, hoping to restore same night delivery for Eureka if Palisade mail arrives by 6:30 to 8:00 am.
