Elko Nevada April 32 George Cotant County Constable was removed from office by Judge J A Callahan after an Elko County Grand Jury ouster. The charges allege Cotant protected road house keeper Frank Cudney in illicit liquor sales and witnessed sales. Deputy Sheriff Guy Harbin was also removed after testimony linking him to liquor deliveries and payments. Cudney testified he paid Harbin about 2600 dollars for liquor retailed at his road house. Cudney and his wife testified to drinking with Cotant and observing watch orders from night watchman Capriola, while Cudney aided in the road house raid by Sheriff Harris and Harbin.
