Nevada Governor Vetoes Fight and Coyote Legislation
Governor Boyle vetoes three bills from the recent Legislature. A.B. No. 142 would create a state inspector of sparries, S.B. No. 96 would legalize 20 round glove contests, and A.B. No. 194 would alter bounty payments for killing obnoxious animals. The governor argues 20 round contests lack public demand and could attract unscrupulous promotion. The veto leaves bounty payments to counties and cattlemen unchanged.
