Heavy Hop Crop Harvest Nears In Willamette Valley
Salem Oregon September 28 With an estimated loss of 4000 bales the 1910 Willamette hop crop is picked and stored for merchant inspection. Local hop men estimate about 100000 bales of first grade hops on hand and despite rain damage the smaller lot will suffice for market. If accurate this year’s output surpasses prior Oregon crops. The 1909 crop reached 82000 bales with many low quality lots. Voter registration resumes tomorrow as books close for the fall election. Household goods arrived this morning from the East for H Danks and G R Wright, who oversee registration.
