Gill Shisey of Leaburg died at his home this morning from an acute appendicitis attack. Doctors Paine and Kuykendall operated on him Saturday but were unable to save him. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Oregon produced 17 million pounds of washed wool from 2 million sheep in 1902 with average scoured price around 6.5 cents per pound on October 1, higher than 2 cents the prior year. McKenzie River hydrographic survey planned by University
Prof. E. H. McAlister head of Oregon State Universitys mechanical department has arranged a summer hydrographic survey of the McKenzie River to measure flow locate best sites for power plants and prepare a river map with contour lines. Biologist Prof A R Sweetser will join to survey timber belts and wildlife and map access routes. The party departs Eugene June 2 for six weeks.
