Blackmail Defense Outlined by Lorimer
Chicago June 14 The expulsion of two spectators from the Browne trial emphasized State's Attorney Wayman's vow to guard the jury against undue influence. Ernest Krulewich and Henry Wagner were removed after Krulewich shook hands with labor leader Skinny Madden in view of the jury. The defense pressed a charge against White's character alleging a blackmail scheme, as Forest attempted to introduce White letters but the court required identification before admission as evidence.
