Copper Trust Beaten by Heinze in Butte Mine Victory

New York financier Anquet Heinze won a district court victory in Butte awarding him the Minnie Healey mine valued at about 10 million dollars after protracted conflict with Miles Finelan and the Copper Trust. Heineze’s career, family ties, and mining reform pressure are noted along with a contrasting archival tale of a Burlington employee’s one cent paycheck anomaly from 1893.

Wheat supply outlook cools fears of shortages

Penticton BC reports no evidence of a global wheat shortfall and only minor European demand. France may see a 36 million bushel shortfall against its 840 million annual use, while US production is projected around 600 million bushels, with Dakotas and Minnesota yielding strongly. Overall yields remain robust, suggesting no major price rise in the near term.

Return of a Silent Heart Through a New Tenant

A speaker recalls closing the heart’s doors and sealing away dust and relics of grief in a cloistered home. A visitor arrives, sweeping away neglect and cobwebs with wind and sun, freeing the space from fear and doubt. The house welcomes the living presence, promising peace and bright certainty, and urges the ghostly memory to stay no longer. The poem, attributed to Theosia Garrison in Harper's Bazaar, frames renewal through an intrusive, cleansing tenant.
