Lakeview Rail Line Maps Filed by Oregon Eastern Railway
Prospects rise for early railroad to Lakeview Oregon as Oregon Eastern Railway files a right of way map in the federal land office. The route runs from the state line south of Lakeview to the county’s north, linking with a survey from Vale, with other regional surveys to Klamath Falls and Redding. Local grading advances near Likely Alturas press toward Lakeview, which would then trade mainly with California rather than Portland.
