Prohibition Drives Booth Kelly Workers to Quit

A Springfield report says many Booth Kelly sawmill workers at Springfield Wendling and Willamette and McKenzie river logging camps have quit due to Lane County prohibition. More mill hands may quit when paid tonight as loggers are described as drinking men unlikely to work where liquor is unavailable. The company, paying good wages, may replace quitters with a better class of workers.
