Illness of Juror Delays Binger Trial
In Washington D C on February 19 the Hermann case was postponed as juror H C Grimes fell ill. The entire panel was discharged and a new panel to include eleven sound jurors plus ten more talesmen to be summoned. Trial may resume tomorrow if a juror is secured. The government gains ground from Justice Stafford’s ruling allowing an amended bill of particulars to include letters Hermann allegedly sent on public business. The defense will challenge that ruling if convictions occur.
