Referendum movement may fail at Linn county vote
President Campbell of the University of Oregon urged students on Friday about the Linn county referendum moving to fund the university. He argued the state cannot afford new income sources and highlighted the need for about 180000 dollars, noting a 30 cent per thousand tax would not cover costs and that supporters would likely spend more than the tax. The outlook favors failure since other groups oppose the measure while Linn county may back it.
