Other rigs begin operations in nearby sections as five rigs gather in the area. Local council notes include accounts paid and a nuisance removal order for a burnt building near Belt store. Oil field wells boost output in McIntosh County area
In McIntosh County pool the Pulaski Oil Company well is cleaning out and not yet pumped. It shows better than two others and may exceed 200 barrels. Galbraith well in section 31-12-114 pumped 180 barrels in first 24 hours and continues pumping steadily. discovery well remains above 60 barrels. New wells spur much work activity.

A Friday night Court House debate by the Young Men's Democratic Club backed the negative view that Oklahoma’s Legislature be a single chamber of up to twenty four members with continual sessions. Rail Road Seeks Refund Over 1918 Tax Levy Suit Filed
The M K and T Ry Co has sued the County Commissioners in district court to force a refund of 328.80 dollars an overcharge on the 1918 tax roll. The suit challenges an extra one half mill general levy by the Excise Board as illegal beyond constitutional limits. The railroad paid half and seeks refund on the second half while others protested none.

Last Tuesday night a meeting of the Odd Fellows and proposed members of the new Rebecca lodge convened in the IOOF hall to finalize plans for establishing the Rebecca lodge. Checotah High Wins State Debate Narrowly
Checotah High School beat Wilburton High School by about three points in a state debating contest last Friday night. Superintendent King judged the match and noted Checotah's lead. The Checotah team won the district title last year and the state championship at State University last spring. The county takes pride as Checotah helps build McIntosh County's statewide reputation.
