rrosn-oopn ana varsuy games ior the “Star Spangled Banner.” Intricate formations were executed at half-time of every varsity game. One of the most impressive shows was given at Homecoming, when the band played “Stairway to the Stars” as the twirlers — Joan Hicks, Joan McNeil, Beverly Banes, and Lois McNeil — danced up the steps. To the strains of “Sweet and Lovely,” the queen and her attendants were presented to the audience.At the final home game, Lois McNeil made her farewell appearance to the football fans. A group of square dancers gave a short exhibition at this game.
