Memorial Day plans outlined by Lostine Cemetery group

Lostine Cemetery association met in Fred Edwards' office to set Memorial Day events for Friday May 30. Committees were formed with chairs Mrs. Reed, Mrs. McArtor, Mrs. Haan, and Charles Bridwell to manage dinner dining program and decorations. A 60 minute Presbyterian church program will replace a speaker. Graves decorate at 10 am dinner at 12, program at 1:30 and meeting at 2:30. Communities urged to prepare lots and attend. water main work planned as funds allow.

Wallowa County General Fund Receives 1061 From Liquor Revenue

The Wallowa county general fund gained 1061 from liquor law enforcement turnover by District Attorney R V Chrisman. The Knox law transfer ends half of liquor fines to the fund, with penalties now directed to the general fund. The district has not spent from this fund since July 1 1983 and fines go to the county. Farewell Party for Mrs Belle Case at Church Home

Mrs Belle Case hosted by Christian church ladies at Mrs G W Franklin residence in Enterprise to honor her two years of service with granddaughter Maxine Moore. They plan to move Friday to Eugene signaling a farewell and appreciation gathering. Band members invited to view new stock of reeds strings and accessories at Thomas Variety.
