Birdseye Wins Two In Hard Fought Baseball Encounter
Birdseye defeated the English team 5 to 3 on their home field after nine innings. Rainforth of Leavenworth kept Birdseye scoreless until the sixth, when two hits produced a run. The English pitcher hit well and contributed two hits. A Sunday game against Calumet-Glenwood of New Albany ended 12 to 3 for Birdseye with Lane pitching and twelve strikeouts.

Aged Man Dies at 70 in Louisville Home
Alexander Muir, 70, died Monday at his daughter Mrs. John H. Luckett’s home after a long illness due to organic heart disease with complications. A Louisville resident and carpenter, he had lived with his daughter recently. The body was taken to Louisville Tuesday for burial at Cave Hill cemetery. He is survived by two sons, James and Peter, of Louisville, and his daughter.
