John F House of Crawford county was tried in Indianapolis on shelling a still found by Deputy Collector F D Connor. Judge Anderson fined 100 and suspended the jail term of thirty days. House paid the fine and returned home with seven children to support. the case highlighted the typical strict penalties for Internal Revenue violations.
