Attorney General clarifies that the 1900 elected trustees retain four year terms under a 1901 law change. Town elections shift to odd years, delaying new trustees chosen this month from taking office until 1904, while those elected in 1900 and 1901 keep their terms. The incoming trustees must qualify now but start their terms after a one year wait.
The government furnishes tombstones for ex-soldier graves upon request. Sloan Post commander T B Cummins Sr sent in requests and received stones for Amos Adkins, Henry Brown, Peter Dillman, John M Miller, Marion Newkirk. Stones to be placed before Decoration Day.
