Epworth League hosts a Friday 8:00 p.m. literary program at Sharp. The event highlights local speakers and readings in a church gathering setting.

Word reaches Bloomington that Dennis Teaford, a former American Express agent who left a short age on the company books, has been found in Salt Lake City working as a locomotive fireman. The shortage was reportedly paid in full by his father and this is his first sighting since disappearance. Tillery shows the horse Joe Helix from French Lick at English’s stable. Sam Self is on hand to assist. A missing orange colored female pointer between English and Sulphur is sought. notify The News office if found.
