The group met at C. T. Brown's office Sunday at 2:00 pm with 26 present and 1.15 dollars collected. J. W. Patton was named superintendent and teacher, with J. L. Lewis as first assistant, Leonard Summers as second assistant, Charles Landiss secretary, Alson Roberts treasurer, Guy Summers organist. John Land and family of Princeton returned home after visiting his sister Mrs. Joseph Denbo. Jonia Babe and Novie Knight attended a chute in Tanwell. Hatty Kitterman of Uniontown visited Clarence Wattwinkle and Joseph Benbo. Enos Land of Owensville visited Crawford friends and his niece Mrs. Denbo. John Huff and daughter Rachel of near Jericho spent time with Knight family. Rev. John W. Goldman preached at Eckerly. Miss Hattie Thurston Cross Roads teacher visited aunt Mrs. Hiram Melton in Taswell.
Several attended church at Asia Minor near Riceville on Saturday night. Mrs. Annie Dewitt of Anderson City has been ill for a week but is improving. John King visited his mother Mrs. Mary King on Sunday. Lizzie King has stayed with her grandmother Mrs. Atkins near Eckerly for weeks. Wesley King, working at French Lick, was recalled home due to his sister Annie Dewitt’s illness. Hilton Miller from near Ellen visited his sister Mrs. Charlie King.
The Rev Geo Dalrymple held his regular appointment Sunday morning. Local residents attended church at Taswell and Seewell while families and relatives visited ledgers at Benham and Goodson homes. Individuals named include Misses Myrtle Eskew Hazel Miller Lucy Goodson and Edyth Brown with families from Grantsburg Louisvil and Arcola.
Corydon reports the Interstate Public Service Company is studying a Blue River dam near White Cloud to generate electricity for Southern Indiana. The plan could cost about one million dollars, require nine miles of lowland purchases, and involve a 100 foot high structure.
The Economic class presents a show titled Club bing a Husband at the English Opera House on Tuesday January 30 at 7 30 p m. Admission 15 and 25 cents with reserved seats 25 cents.
The M. E. Church lists weekly services and gatherings including cottage prayer meetings at A. B. Hudson on Tuesday and Mrs. Lizzie Denbo on Friday at 7 p m, mid week prayer on Wednesday, Sabbath school at 9 30 a m with preaching at 10 45 a m, no evening service due to revival in Tanwell, and an opera-house entertainment Tuesday night January 30 for town improvements. Elder C W Parks will also preach at the Christian church next Sunday morning and evening to which all are invited.

Curby community updates report Miss Mae Batman with measles and several residents visiting friends and relatives in English Eckerly Burnett Centerville and Pilot Knob. Logs hauled to English Tuesday for Sylvester Saries and visits among Sarles Dillman and Vernon families near Centerville and Burnett.
English teachers from Marengo Milltown Liberty Sterling and Whiskey Run townships met Saturday at the public school for a joint institute. County Superintendent S A Beals attended and offered guidance. The event included lectures by Eld J W Hofstra and a recap of local church revival progress.
