Russell Weathers of Vincennes visiting business college in Louisville was hosted by aunts Mrs J. E Kees and Mrs Elisha Jones. Thad Stroud injured in quarry work last week is recovering well. Nora Vanmetre, long employed at the Observer, left to visit brother Lee Vanmetre and family in Youngstown Ohio. Drewry Webb and William Key of Libertyview visited English on official business. A resignation letter states the previous trustee left under condition that a party member be appointed. Abraham M. Froman, a Republican, appointed to serve the remainder of the term. The writer thanks residents for courteous treatment during service.
