Encampment Rambler Road Repair Initiated by County
Soren Sorensen and Chas S Goodaker led a petition to county commissioners asking for road repairs on Encampment to Rambler. Commissioner Day ordered the work, and Goodaker began repairs Monday morning. The road will serve Portland Consolidated Copper prospects in Battle basin, plus fishermen and tourists this summer.

Rancher visitors amid frost and thaw in town notes
Dave Bird arrived from his ranch Monday night and Tuesday. Ledbetter came from his ranch last Saturday to handle business. A heavy frost and ice damaged some gardens. The ranchers are busy as the town sees visitors only when needed. City Marshal Willis suffered a severe cold with sore throat and stiff neck early in the week.
