Light Plant Closes For Winter Due To Low Water
The electric light plant shut down late last week because river water was too low to supply power as ice jammed the river. After pumps were installed it was found the pipeline froze, making the shutdown permanent for the winter.
Correspondents Wanted for Encampment Trade Territory
The Record seeks regular correspondents and representatives in every community within Encampment’s trade area. We provide stationery and postage and pay commission on all business secured. A mining section is desired if correspondents can be secured district wide. Communications on any subject are welcomed and paid.
No More Picture Show This Winter
No more picture shows will be given this winter because the electric light plant is frozen up and there is no power to run the machine. Gradually we are being convinced that it is really winter time.
