Worthy Proposition for Encampment Library Association
In Encampment Rev. R. R. Marquis promotes a cooperative library and reading room with a board of control. Membership costs one dollar per year, six dollars to join the board, and the library would be a public institution funded by small dues. The town has two reading rooms, serving youths and adults for reading music and games in the evenings.
