Wyoming denounces Saratoga and Encampment railroad plan
A Cheyenne dated Wyoming letter to the Denver Post argues that junking the Saratoga and Encampment railway would harm a vast region, urging state ownership and operation to preserve livestock and produce markets. It notes the line serves thousands of square miles and warns against destruction for private profit. The Wyoming exhibit at the state fair will feature U S Department of Agriculture displays on roads, irrigation, wildlife, lumbering, and forest products with officials John G. Rose and William L. Barker Jr present in Douglas.
