Local Highway Association Forms Branch at Encampment
A meeting at city hall organized the Encampment Branch of the Rocky Mountain Highway Association with over twenty members. I. H. Healey elected president and J. R. Rollman secretary. Five dollar dues include main association membership. They petition the state highway commission to complete the road from Encampment to Walcott this summer, and urge the county to open a public road from Encampment to Spring Creek. A Saratoga branch was also formed, and plans focus on funding, marking, and advertising the highway to attract tourists.

Suttles-Davis Marriage Reported In Denver
Mrs Lois Suttles well known in Encampment and Meeker Colorado married Mr A C Davis in Denver on Wednesday June 8. She has lived in Meeker since leaving Encampment three years ago where she managed the Meeker telephone exchange. The couple have many friends in Encampment who wish them happiness. Also reported are the return of Mr and Mrs Dave Bashove from Lincoln Nebraska where Mrs Bashove was treated for illness and later found not to require surgery gaining ten pounds during treatment.

Mr and Mrs Spurlock and Mr and Mrs Chas Bixler attended Odd Fellows and Rebekah memorial services at the Episcopal church. F R Gilbert formerly superintendent of Saratoga schools has finished his degree at University of Lamrie.

French Items and Ranch Visitors in Sanger Area
Freeman Cook and C H Sanger rode to Big Creek on Tuesday. Ambrose Ross of Cheyenne spends the summer at the Sanger ranch. French area hit by a light hail Thursday with no reported damage. Chas H Sanger and son J I and father J M Sanger were Encampment callers Thursday. Sanger business meeting at Condict home on Brush Creek Monday. Mrs Adams reported she can be about the house again. Messrs M L Lesrist N H L Gay and W Phillips, travelers from California to Chicago, stay a few days at the Sanger ranch. G D Peewilliger visited Encampment Monday from his Cow Creek ranch.
