Protest Over Abandonment of Saratoga & Encampment Rail
Carbon county residents rally to protest the Saratoga & Encampment Railway discontinuation from Walcott to Encampment. They argue the line serves 2200 people and drives shipments of cattle hay and food into North Platte valley, with Morse Bros. Machinery seeking to wreck the railroad. Elk numbers rise in Medicine Bow area prompting game department concerns and calls for action.

Dry Land Field Seeds for Wyoming Delegation
Members of the Wyoming delegation are to receive 825 packages of dry land field seeds each. Due to higher seed prices the total is reduced and not all requests can be met. Only one seed type will be sent per applicant, issued in order of receipt until supply runs out. Seed types include Grimm alfalfa, field beans, millet, field peas, and sweet clover, with ample time allotted for spring planting. Warner McShane returns to school duties in Denver after holiday visit with parents.
