Grain trade continues as weather hampers thrashers
Upper grades will be increased and Williamsport plus district country schools delayed. The past week has been poor for thrashers due to a Saturday wind storm, rain dampening grain, and additional rain and a Tuesday blow. Despite this, crews push steady, with grain flowing into local elevators daily.

Fire Burns Grain Separator At Naaden Brothers Farm
Anton Naaden lost his grain separator and two stacks of grain in a Wednesday night fire at his brother Chris Naaden’s farm. Fire crews found the machinery and grain ruined on the following morning, with no serious injuries reported.

Ford accident near town injures Mrs Wolverton
The first serious accident in some time to be recorded in Linton involved Dr. W C Wolverton driving a Ford that went off a small bridge Sunday morning west of town. Mrs. Wolverton suffered a double fracture of one arm along with numerous serious cuts and bruises.
