Why Rotation Is Necessary In Soil Improvement
Professor Doneghue of North Dakota Agricultural College argues that weed buildup, reduced organic matter, poor soil structure, and possible mineral shortages depower soil productivity. He notes fallowing or iron sulphate can control weeds but costly on high-priced land. He warns wheat cycles with barley or winter rye offer limited soil benefits and yield gains diminish when wheat dominates repeatedly.

Use Salt In Bread Making
Salt retards yeast fermentation but in proper portions, not more than one teaspoon per cup of liquid, it increases volume and improves flavor. More than one teaspoon per cup causes crust deterioration, lop-sided loaves, and crumb that is tough, moist, gray, and poor in flavor and texture.
