The Board of County Commissioners of Emmons County North Dakota met in Linton on November 12 1919 with Matthews and du Heaume present. Reports from Towner County indicate Beisel the independent candidate defeated Peterson the league candidate by over a hundred votes in the special election to fill the state senate vacancy. District Court convenes next Tuesday with Judge Graham presiding and a 36‑person jury scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday.
