Our Local Schools A.N. Junge Presides At High School

Our school board president A N Junge advocates modern high school growth. In twelve years the building expanded from one room to six with nine teachers. High School offerings include English Latin German algebra geometry history civics physics chemistry botany zoology physiology and music. Diplomas enable second grade teaching certificates. Superintendent O S Shefloe leads progress with an emphasis on Latin rhetoric pedagogy and a motto urging knowledge.

County Schools In Emmons County North Dakota

United States Commissioner of Education P. P. Claxton spoke at Grand Forks on November 4 urging practical education. He noted Emmons County has 150 schools and five consolidated villages, two four year high schools, rising teacher salaries, and a higher standard of teaching as eastern educated people move west seeking opportunity.

Consolidation urged to solve Emmons county schools
