Polly of the Circus Aims for the Spotlight
Polly tells Douglas she will dominate the act and save the circus show she helped create. Their conversation reveals Polly’s pride in her role, her skepticism about others, and hints of her family history including Jim the worker and Mandy’s rememberings. The scene blends humor with fragile sentiment as Polly faces change.
