In Town and Out Describe Local Arrivals and Incidents
Assessor Roop and Postmaster Geil of Williamsport visited Linton last Friday for the new post office box cabinet. Several visitors from neighboring towns dropped in for business and to look at Emmons county lands. A Timber culture witness and three residents named Pehrson, Stersiee, and Kalberer came to testify. A Braddock youth mocked the old nine o'clock adage and vowed to avoid thieves at five to nine. N J Shields, early settler turned Cannon Ball resident, planned work on a new Westfield church. Southwick slipped and fell injuring himself with siding and shingles near a doorway. Cruser of Montrose News bought Emmons county tax titles. Edith Phillips and J C Klabunde visited Linton with others en route to South Dakota. A group or Miss Phillips and friends returned to Block and others proceeded to take up claims in the county. West of the claims, cattle were moved along Beaver creek and Beaverc-s area for Sunday.
