Nestos Candidacy Held Real Test in North Dakota
The Minneapolis Journal reports that the defeat of Senator McCumber does not restore the Nonpartisan League in North Dakota. C T Jaffray of the First National Bank asserts the real test rests with Governor Nestos and the state’s financial policy. He notes McCumber’s lack of financial help during the recall and credits Nestos with safeguarding investments. The banker emphasizes distinguishing Nestos’s success from the McCumber defeat as NFL revival remains unlikely.
