Epworth League Social Ends In Tight Tie Then Linton Victory
Fifty to sixty young people gathered at the M. E. church basement for a social with teams from Linton and Hazelton. After a close field meet the tie was broken by Linton winning the deciding event, followed by games such as football boxing basketball and relays and refreshments of sandwiches salad frappe and cookies.

Boy Scouts Enjoy Hike and Snowball Games
Last Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Boy Scouts led by Mr. Swaney hiked east of the hills with a sack of grub. After meals they joined in a snowball fight and other games. They returned home about four, tired but glad to have enjoyed God’s out of doors.

Obituary: Victor Holmquist 26 Dies in Wolverton
Victor Holmquist aged 26, traveling representative for the American Tobacco Co., died Sunday afternoon January 19 at Wolverton Hospital from influenza and pneumonia after a week-long illness. His brother C. A. Holmquist of Bonar Springs Kansas, arrived Tuesday and took the body there for burial.
