Linton brief notes report Henry Hehn from Hazelton and other towns visiting Friday. Local residents say Miss Eileen Tuttle heads to Beach N D to teach, and Bruce Talbot returns to Aberdeen to resume railroad work. Several townspeople travel for schooling, work, and family visits over New Years including Miss Lizzie Schlecht, Lester Schlangen, and Gerrit Rooks.
Linton residents attend school and business visits in Fargo Bismarck Minneapolis and Northfield. Carl Vorlander plans move to Minneapolis for drug wholesale work. Fire department receives recognition for saving grain cars during elevator blaze. Newborns reported at Wolverton hospital and local medical and family updates unfold.
The Linton Concert Band held a New Year’s Eve concert and dance at Seeman Park pavilion despite heavy afternoon snow. A large crowd enjoyed a program of dance and concert numbers, with pieces including One-step Welcome Serenade and The Best Loved Irish Melodies, plus remarks by F B Streeter.
