The hail insurance division reports 12 163 claims with 4 998 adjusted, totaling 1 258 906 46 in demnities. Expected payouts rise to about 3 million as all claims are finalized, with average per claim up from 166 to 250, and only 11 of 801 adjustments showing no loss. A large crowd watched Pollock defeat Linton 6 to 3 at Seeman Park Sunday afternoon. Pollock pulled key long hits in the eighth to break a tie as Emmons county kept runners on base throughout. Umpiring drew criticism though the game featured a late ninth inning home run by Fred Petrie.
