A strong Thursday afternoon wind east of Williamsport wrecked Deputy Treasurer Robinson’s new house and furniture, damaged an Acme stacker, and toppled Campbell ranch sheep sheds in Cherry Grove. Hay stacks scattered across the prairie. At Billy Baxter’s Logan place the roof ridge shook, but Williamsport area saw no heavy winds.
A Sunday night tornado in Walsh county caused significant damage with two or three people injured. Buildings were destroyed, grain loss reported, and debris scattered across the area. No fatalities are noted in the report.

In Cherry Grove last spring a yellow ochre taste appeared in Winnie Allen's well water. The sample, analyzed by Professor Ladd via Fargo, was identified as yellow ochre used in paint. It is not particularly harmful but not advised for drinking. some have drunk paint to “paint a town red,” a curious note in the report.
