Last night at the Armory a large crowd witnessed a lively boxing card. In the main event Archie Shetre of St Paul defeated Johnny Hartie of Des Moines on points with fast, powerful punching. Harold Higgins beat Donald Olson in a close decision, while Carney stopped Stafford in a technical knockout. Other bouts featured Ralph Pyrkoup and John Laughlin, and Glen Johnston defeating Jerry Ryan. A new ice cream parlor and lunch counter were installed, costing about 1500 dollars, adding to the shop’s growing business.
