Rodman Woman's Daughter Is Dead

Local friends learned of the death at Algona of Mrs. Arvid Woodcock 40 daughter of Mrs. Dora Elbert of Rodman. She leaves a husband and six young children after about seven weeks illness. Funeral services were planned for Monday morning at St. Cecelia's church in Algona.

Brennan Emerges as Notre Dame Star At Northwestern

Emmetsburg fans heard Notre Dame rout Northwestern 21 to 0 behind Jim Brennan a left halfback freshman. The Milwaukee youth sped 41 yards for a touchdown and followed with a second score as Notre Dame took early control. Brennan, son of Martin Brennan of Milwaukee, drew praise from announcers and press alike for a debut described as out of this world.

Kummerfeldt dies at 81 in Ruthven home

Otto Kummerfeldt of Terril dies at 81 at the Ruthven home of Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Wagner after weeks of care. He never married and is survived by a brother Henry of Ruthven. Funeral services set for Monday at 2 p.m. at the Methodist church in Ruthven after services at Lightle funeral home. Washington of Spencer visited Ruthven Monday.
