Taft Tours Georgia On Autumn Trip
President Taft traveled through central and southeastern Georgia in autumn colors arriving in Savannah at 7 45 PM for an eighteen hour stay including a De Soto hotel banquet and a harbor sail. He toured the auto course, had lunch at Thunderbolt Club and resisted a mint julep in a green frosted glass. He heads back to Washington arriving next Wednesday evening.

North Dakota tops dreadnought fleet speed tests
Rockland Maine November 5 The North Dakota is the fastest battleship afloat among the dreadnoughts and one of the two most powerful ships in the world. Her screw standardization tests over the Mile course showed a maximum speed of 22.25 knots and an average of 21 82 knots. Both exceed the best performances of the Delaware or the British Bellerophon.
