In the northwest Iowa Junior College basketball tournament at Mason City last week Estherville defeated Eagle Grove 39 to 27 in the first round. Semifinals saw Sheldon 31 over Boone 25 and Fort Dodge 38 over Hatherville 29. In the final Fort Dodge beat Sheldon 30 to 23 while Estherville won the consolation with Noone 23 over Estherville 25.
