County Ration Board Urges Tire Recapping in Des Moines District
The Des Moines OPA district reports widespread use of recapping among passenger car owners fuels tire rationing problems. B card holders may apply for new tires, but only after preferred mileage holders are served, with 12,400 applicants awaiting tires in the district. Recapping is urged as the obvious solution amid a standstill in new tire supply.
