Emmetsburg Okoboji Swim Meet Slated For June 23
Emmetsburg Okoboji hosts a swim meet June 23 at 7 30 p m with 32 events and three diving events for age groups 11 and under 12 to 135 and 16 and over. The longest race is 300 meters with 50 dollars in ribbons and trophies sponsored by the Emmetsburg Chamber of Commerce. Okoboji expects 40 swimmers and bleachers will be provided for spectators free of charge. Participants should contact Randy Sprout for details and practice sessions run daily except Sunday at 10 am with Sprout and Georgio Tormene in charge.
