A fragmentary column reviews global political figures and events. It notes Rev William J Long’s stance on tactics, debates on immigration, Spain’s king’s war rhetoric, tariff reform, New York governor Hughes, Secretary Root on moral standards, and various obscure opinions on the steel industry and presidents. The piece also touches on Hayward and Thaw cases, Russia’s stance on disarmament, Bonaparte’s trust views, and remarks about Senator Allison and Kuroki. It ends with reflections on journalism and education, and a statement about Yale’s richest student.
