The Plover Review suspends, and local exchanges report illness fires and civic events amid a bustling period.
Marriages announced from Twin Falls Idaho and Fort Dodge Iowa include Edwie O Berg and Beatrice Ellen Cainey wed at Torin Falls Idaho on Saturday January 18. Davenport native and Cornell graduate Berg is an electrical and mechanical engineer who has opened a private office. The Democrat also notes M H Miller and Mrs Bridget Hanson wed at Sacred Heart parsonage Fort Dodge last week and planning a possible residence in Enneistary. John Carrans visited Ruthven with a poisoned hand, and Joseph Guier and Maud Tatro married at Trinity parsonage with Dr. W T Jackson officiating. Mrs B R Jackman is ill and Miss Alice was recalled from Dubuque.
At the annex meeting of Northwestern Brick File and Clay Products company EB Soper E F Morling James Donigan G G Wheat and EB Persons were elected directors for the ensuing year No dividend declared Soper became president Wheat general manager Persons secretary Morling treasurer The directors expect better management will make the plant financially successful for the community and stockholders alike.
Mr. Saanders has purchased all the interests of C C Mueller in the firm of Saanders AmeNer & Co. Mr. Mueller will likely move west. He has long been a leading Emmetsburg figure and will be missed by the community and his wife.
Mr and Mrs Hi Jacobs plan to leave for Hot Springs the last of the week for a short stay. Miss Ellen Lee of Ruthven attended the L A of A H entertainment at the KC on Monday evening. Peter Daily Dennis Kirby and Will Babilt went to Chicago Saturday night to see the nights for a few days.
