Mr John J Wagner and Miss Marie A Miller united in marriage yesterday at the Catholic church in West Bend. Rev P M Dobberstein officiated. Mrs Mary Wagner served as bridesmaid and Mr Martin Miller as best man. Afterward wedding guests dined at the Miller home. The couple will set up housekeeping on the Gus Peterson farm in Ellington township. The bride’s friends praise her, while the groom’s family is noted for industrious character.

Killed by falling tree near Grand Meadow farm
Grand Meadow Record reports J A Johnson of the Moore farm northwest of Grand Meadow died Tuesday morning when a tree he and his son were sawing fell, struck him on the head, and crushed him. He leaves a wife and three children. The funeral is set at Bear Creek church with services and sermons planned by Bishop Harry S Longley and local clergy across Lent leading to Go to Church Sunday on April 2.
